Hiring a land clearing company isn't like buying a car.
You can't test-drive a cleared lot. You need a crew that shows up when they said they would, knows what the county will and won't let you cut, and leaves the site the way you pictured it. That's been our job in Tampa Bay since 2006.
- On-time service, affordable rates. Clear written estimates, no surprise add-ons.
- Right equipment for the site. From tractor-mounted cutters on open acreage to hand crews in wetland buffers.
- Permit-aware. We flag protected trees, wetland setbacks and permit needs before a machine touches the ground.
- Every kind of client. Large developers, banks, and homeowners with one lot.

Land clearing questions, answered
How much does land clearing cost in Tampa?
It depends mostly on how thick the vegetation is, the size of the trees, and whether stumps must come out. Published 2026 figures for the Tampa area run from roughly $1,100–$4,600 per acre for light brush to $8,000+ per acre for densely wooded land, and small residential lots often land between $1,500 and $4,500. See our Tampa land clearing cost guide for the details — then get a free, exact quote.
Do I need a permit to clear my lot?
Often, yes — if trees are coming out. In the City of Tampa, removing a tree 5 inches in diameter or larger (measured at chest height) generally needs a permit, and unincorporated Hillsborough County requires a tree removal or land alteration permit before most clearing. Wetlands add another layer. Our permit guide walks through it.
How fast can I get an estimate?
We give free estimates 7 days a week and usually turn them around within 24 hours. Having the property address or folio number ready speeds things up.
Do you work with developers and banks?
Yes. Since 2006 we've cleared land for developers, banks and individual land owners — from a single infill lot to large acreage.
Can you clear near wetlands, ponds or conservation areas?
Yes — that's a specialty. We handle retention and detention pond clearing, wetland setback and buffer work, and conservation-area clearing, including non-machine (hand crew) clearing where heavy equipment isn't allowed, and we work within EPC and SWFWMD permit conditions.
Are you licensed and insured?
